L. Summary: This book is about a little boy who looks up to his older brother. It talks about how his older brother can be busy with his life of being old enough to ride the school bus, deliver newspapers, and play baseball. The younger brother always holds a special place in his older brother's heart as he plays with him after doing his homework, greets him after getting off the school bus, and talks with him. The younger brother hopes to be able to do the things that his brother does one day.
N. I would use this book for my students in discussing the importance of spending time with your family or siblings. The book also represents the aspects of being a good role model for younger siblings or for younger children in general. I really love how the book included the English and Spanish translations as it went through the book. That's a plus when working with culturally diverse students or when you want to incorporate other cultures or languages into the picture.
